Backup’s latest podcast – host Sarah James talks with the Taylor family who experienced the support of Backup

BWB Podcast 1080x1080

In this episode, host Sarah James is in conversation with the Taylor family, Sally and Rob Taylor, and Hannah Evans, the parents and sister of Adam Taylor, who was a sound engineer and DJ Adam Fabulous.

Adam supported Backup throughout his career. When he was diagnosed with late stage cancer, Backup was able to support him and his family in return. In this episode, the Taylors reflect on his life, his passion for audio, his time at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and his incredible journey through theatre, live events and DJ culture. They also share their most treasured stories that show who Adam truly was: a devoted father, a generous friend, a talented engineer and a man whose kindness came back to him tenfold.

This conversation also looks at how Backup provided financial help during the toughest moments and how simple the process was when the family needed it most. The Taylor family speak powerfully about the strength of the technical community, the comfort of feeling part of a wider family and why they now fundraise for Guildhall students in Adam’s memory.

This episode is a reminder that no one should ever face hardship alone and that asking for help should never be difficult.
