Our free Helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which provides a centralised access point for both urgent and non-urgent wellbeing support.

You will be presented with the following options when phoning 0800 464 7068:

1. Backup Counsellor – available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 09:00 – 21:00 and Thursday and Friday 09:00 – 18:00 (except for bank holidays)
2. Music Support Helpline – free helpline available Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 17:00 (except for bank holidays)
3. Theatre Helpline – available 24 hours a day, 7 days
4. Samaritans – available 24 hours a day, 7 days

Upon selecting one of the above options you will be transferred directly to the support you require.

Our Backup Counsellor option is a free, independent and confidential phone service with a certified councillor who has a broad experience of our industry and provides initial support to people working in technical entertainment. If our Counsellor is not available during working hours, do please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Leave a message outside working hours and our Counsellor will return your call when back working.

Our Backup certified Counsellor is available to offer support and signposting on mental health and wellbeing.   If it is felt that you may need further sessions, then please liaise with the Counsellor and Backup who may make the necessary grants to achieve these. You will have to complete the Mental Health grant application for further sessions after your initial telephone meeting – here. Further sessions can be done by ‘phone, zoom or in person dependent on where you live.
