Backup Announce Round 3 of Hardship Fund

Backup – The Technical Entertainment Charity has now completed Round 2 and announces a Round 3 of the Backup Hardship Fund, created to provide limited financial assistance to crew/production personnel, and people working in the technical supply chain across the UK entertainment sector, including those from live events, theatre and TV and film.

“We felt that it was important to get news of our Round 3 out ahead of going into the New Year in order to give our colleagues who are really suffering financially some hope, particularly for those who have not been able to apply for any of our previous rounds due to the criteria,” says Backup Chairman, John Simpson. “The start of a new year under current circumastances will be tough for many, let alone for those facing the financial difficulty this past year has brought for so many of our colleagues.”

Round 3 of the application period opens from Monday 4th January 2021 (08:00) to Monday 25th January 2021 (20:00).

To be elligble, you must have received a total of less than £10,000 from any of the sources that are listed on the Hardship Application page (when combined) during the period 1st April 2020 to 31st December 2020.

Please note, if you were successful in the first or second round of funding, but are still suffering from significant financial hardship, you will be considered for this third round.
