Backup brings extra fun to Village Fete

BVF 2026 more fun

There are only a few weeks to go until Backup’s annual Village Fete arrives at its new home of Whilton Mill Karting Circuit in Daventry. Sponsored by 5 Star Cases, Autograph, Catalyst Finance, DBpixelhouse, d&b audiotechnik, IPS, PLASA, Nexo, The Technical Department and Unusual Rigging, it is set to be another adrenalin fuelled, fun filled, industry day out.

“The amazing support Backup has from friends and colleagues makes a huge difference,” says Backup Chair Lee Dennison. “The Village Fete is a big part of that, and we’re delighted to see so many companies and individuals already committed to coming to this year’s event. The karting teams are all sold, but there’s still time to grab a Game Keepers Pitch, or a Day Pass to come and watch the action unfold.”

If you already have your entry sorted out, why not add a Sporting Pass Challenge and test your inner gamekeeper with axe throwing, clay pigeon shooting, and now archery, too; perfect for those with a sharp eye, a steady hand, and perhaps just a hint of landed gentry in the bloodline – tweed is optional but encouraged. All tickets include lunch and soft drinks, and d&b is in charge of cooling refreshment with its audio-themed ice-o-bar ice van.

Adding a little extra frisson to their Flight Case Challenge, 5 Star Cases’s R&D team have been busy making modifications to this year’s cases. A new game has also been devised for the company’s fete stall, which will be reveal on the day, and they have upped the ante on their entry for the Bake Off, so the challenge is on for all Bake Off entrants.

For those planning to arrive the evening before, there are still a few places left for the evening dinner, which is supported by PLASA. Hosted at a local hostelry, drinks and food are included in the ticket price, and all proceeds go to Backup.

“It’s going to be another great day out with our amazing industry family,” concludes Lee. “We’re looking forward to seeing your driving skills, sporting prowess, baking and veg growing talents, and lots more fun to be had, so if you haven’t already done it, get your tickets now.”
